WMG renewed Spotify contract for Euro market

If analysts on Warner Music Group Q4's earnings call were expecting for news of a Spotify contract, they got what exactly they wanted. Edgar Bronfman Jr claimed WMG has finalized a new agreement with the unlimited-music service - but it's only a renewed contract, cover Spotify??¡ê¡ès present Eu markets.
Warner Music today renewed a contract with Spotify to remain supplying its tracks. The contract would be the first among the leading labels and was touted as being a positive by Warner chief Edgar Bronfman, who in the past had previously criticized free, advertisement-based music. He wouldn't establish US plans but was "hopeful" a contract would come eventually, AllThingsD heard during the call.
The deal was accompanied by stated leaks that alluded to an American contract getting closer. Sony is currently thought to have already authorized on for Spotify in the US, while Universal is considered to be close. Spotify had previously stated it would go ahead with no less than three leading labels and could pass on EMI if Warner signed on.
